This hair system template will be used by your chosen manufacturer to help ensure that the hair system fits your client. If you’re a hair salon, you can use this hair system template for a specific client or create a wide variety to use as a size range for your products.
If you’re planning to offer a custom servicefor your clients, you’ll need to know how to make a custom hair system template. We recommend that you ask your clients to visit your salon to have their custom hair system template made to ensure the best results.
The Materials That You Will Need To Make Your Template:
Black Marker
Clear wide mailing tape or scotch tape
Clear Plastic Wrap
Mirror and scissors
Small spray bottle of water
Step1: Tie plastic sheet in place
Use a sheet of plastic wrap long enough to tie in a knot under your chin.The plastic sheet should cover the entire area needed. It helps to spray a little water on your scalp first as that will hold the plastic in place.
Step2: Apply layers of tape
With the plastic in place and tied, place several layers of strips of tape from back to front, and side to side over the plastic. The tape can be scotch tape or shipping tape. This creates a semi-hardeded mold of your head shape.
Step3: Trace hairline and mark"F" on front
Use a black marker to trace your hairline all around. Your front hairline will normally be about 4 fingers widths above the top of your evebrows. You can draw arrows to indicate which direction you comb your hair or these may be left out. Mark a letter"F" for the front on the template. You can also put a “B”on the back. It's a good idea also for you to write your first name in the middle of the template.
Step4: Mark part and hair direction(optional)
You can mark the part and direction you intend to comb your hair, but this is unnecessary when ordering freestyle hair, you will be able to part the hair and comb it in any direction. Most of the clients just use step1 to step 3.
